Shear Media Studios is an 11,000 sq. ft. Tampa Bay production facility built for multi-camera broadcasts, livestreams, sports, recurring shows, corporate productions, and REMI workflows.

Studio G and Studio A are hardwired to our centralized L6 Control Room, giving production teams the ability to switch cameras live, integrate graphics, mix and route audio, monitor feeds, record program and isolated camera feeds, and deliver productions in real time.

And the production doesn’t have to end at our control room.

Using professional REMI/SRT workflows, we can transmit multiple camera feeds in real time to remote control rooms, networks, production partners, or other destinations — allowing teams hundreds or thousands of miles away to switch, add graphics, monitor, and record the production as it happens.

No waiting for files to upload after the show. Production can happen in real time.

The L6 Control Room is the production hub of Shear Media Studios, connected throughout the facility and designed to support everything from a three-camera podcast to a large-format multi-camera production in Studio G.

Depending on the production, workflows can include live switching, graphics and playback, audio mixing and routing, production monitoring, program recording, isolated camera recording, livestreaming, remote guests, remote production, and real-time transmission.

A production can originate entirely from Shear Media Studios while another production team or control room operates remotely.

Camera feeds can be transmitted to a remote control room for switching, graphics and recording while our team simultaneously monitors or creates a separate line cut locally.

That gives networks, agencies, sports media companies, and production teams the ability to use Tampa Bay as their production location without having to move their entire broadcast operation to Florida.

There is a big difference between putting a camera into a computer and streaming it online and building an actual live-production workflow.

Today, those workflows are being used for real recurring productions from Shear Media Studios.

One change we specifically made from Agent Spawn’s recommendation was the H1. Instead of “Broadcast Studio Rental in Tampa Bay,” we went with “Broadcast Studio & Live Production in Tampa Bay.” The reasoning was that SMS isn't merely renting a broadcast room anymore — you're selling an originating production facility with local and remote production capability.
